Love take away foods but wish you could make them yourself? Wish you could spend less money on them? Wish they were better for you?

We're delivering a new project called Make, Taste and Take Away over the next 3 years for St Leonard's Youth and Community Centre, Bootle. We'll be working to support their community resilience programme across the South Sefton Foodbank network. Each week, we'll be enabling people to make delicious, healthy and nutritious versions of their favourite meals and share some new approaches.

Cooking and sharing a meal together, taking home a bag of fresh ingredients, gaining skills, confidence and friendship - building community resilience using food as a social tool in an empowering, friendly environment.

"I've tried new foods like cous cous and aubergines which are easy to use and tasty. I've really enjoyed coming to the group each week, it's got me out more and we're moving on to do qualifications. I'm cooking more meals from scratch and feeling healthier - it's great."
