Faiths4Change has been working in partnership with Asylum Link Merseyside since 2009. We are really pleased to have grown and extended our partnership working at the St Anne's Centre, Liverpool to be also be working with Merseyside Refugee Support Network. Working together to enable Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Liverpool to be enabled to improve their health and wellbeing, Health Gateway is a 3 year programme ending in 2017 and is kindly supported by NHS Liverpool CCG. Faiths4Change work focuses on Living Well predominantly through growing skills and qualifications to improve diet and exercise.
The Women's Group at Asylum Link Merseyside (affectionately known as the Victory Group) met weekly to socialise with one another, to share food, beauty techniques and any other hidden talents, and also undertake projects. The Victory Group's most recent project was their textile tree. It was exhibited along with trees from other community groups and schools in Merseyside's first ever textile forest! Their theme is 'Our Home Countrees'.
