Northwood Community - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Northwood Communitree 4aRts was a partnership project between Northwood Together and Faiths4Change, based out of Northwood Community Centre. The project offered a whole community, arts based approach to changing behaviour towards waste and resources.
Through Pop Up Boutiques (swap shops), Repair Clinics, volunteering, training days for schools and organisations, tonnes of creative workshops and the exhibition of the Northwood Forest, this project celebrated the fantastic things already happening right across Northwood while making some positive change around how we deal with rubbish.
In the project, we worked with 1294 people to divert 5.19 tonnes of textiles, toys and plastics from landfill!
This project was supported by Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority's Community Fund. Check out MRWA's Recycle Right campaign which give really clear guidance on what and where to recycle. www.recycleright.org.uk/ #GoRecycleRight @GoRecycleRight
