Diocese of Liverpool Net Zero Carbon Knowledge Platform
At Faiths4Change we're working in partnership with the Diocese of Liverpool and Harbour Project Management to support churches to become Net Zero Carbon by 2030 and to achieve an Eco Church award.
We are delighted to launch our Knowledge platform which contains advice and resources to support churches through the process. NZC2030 Knowledge Platform |
Net Zero Carbon 2030 & Eco Church is a project being delivered by the Diocese of Liverpool in partnership with Faiths4Change and supported by the Benefact Trust.
In 2020 General Synod revised their Net Zero Carbon target for the Church of England to 2030, and in 2021 the Liverpool Diocese outlined challenges & presented a pathway to achieve net zero carbon.

The team at Faiths 4 Change works with places of worship to identify the steps a church would like to take to achieve Net Zero Carbon, and to develop a Net Zero Plan & embrace the prophetic challenge.
In year one we worked with 19 churches, and in year two this number will rise to 44.

Net Zero Carbon and Eco Church Workshops series
We've run three series of webinars as part of the Net Zero Carbon programme, one in 2022 and two in 2023. The workshops have covered subjects like worship and teaching, land management, working with young people and how to complete the Energy Footprint Tool.
The current webinar series has finished, but recordings from the past webinars are available to watch on our Net Zero Carbon 2030 YouTube Playlist
