We are delighted to bring you information about a series of events that are happening these events are free to attend and offer practical support to enable faith communities to reduce their carbon footprint and take action to mitigate climate change.
They include practical workshops, Climate Cafes and opportunities to engages with councillors to share, influence and consider actions on local - global climate issues, including climate justice.

Creating a manifesto for Sustainability & the Environment - 26th April 2024
5.30-7.30pm Birkenhead Town Hall
This will be a session where places of workshop will be given the opportunity to meet with Elected Members, Prospective & Current MP’s to identify the issues and concerns that matter to them, and to create a Manifesto for Sustainability & the Environment.
We will to bring together local Wirral councillors, community groups, places of worship and their eco teams to look at how we can work together on the Wirral.
We will also be discussing the Cool Places of Worship programme, sharing resources and information, and looking at how we may work together in the future.
We will be serving vegetarian & Vegan soup and bread at the event. All the food prepared with be following LOAF principles or come from Zero Waste. (LOAF Principles: Locally produced, Organically grown, Animal friendly, Fairly traded)

We are holding an evening meeting, in person, to bring together experts to look at how places of worship can focus on citizen action and community organising. As part of the workshop we will be holding informal training to support your eco team to campaign and make a difference. Helping to identify campaign and issues that matter to you. A light meal will be provided.
