Steps To Silver: Eco Diocese
In 2019 Bishop Paul appointed Faiths4Change as the lead organisation to work with the Diocese of Liverpool to achieve the A Rocha Gold Eco Diocese Award. We were delighted that the Diocese has achieved its Bronze award. In 2020, we're going for Silver! Our work includes supporting churches to register, complete the questionnaire and apply for an award to become an Eco Church. Alongside this we are working with the Diocesan House to achieve award status, openly engaging with church events and leading events to grow the approach to becoming an Eco Awarded Diocese.
3 steps to becoming an Eco Church
Step One: Register
Register as an eco church online and login - it's simple and starts your journey. You don't have to be doing any activity yet, just sign up. More than one person from your church can sign up as part of the team. Sign up to become an Eco Church here.
Step Two: Complete the Eco Survey
It will help you to identify the environmental work that your church is already doing and what else you could do. Here is an example form.
Step Three: Contact us at Faiths4Change
For extra support email [email protected] or phone our office on 0151 705 2111, We will arrange to speak with you (currently over the phone or via skype) to help you create a tailored action plan that suits your church. At the present moment, we can work closely with you to get planning in place for when congregations return and look at how you can continue to support your community immediately.
