Faith communities share a moral commitment to care for the earth and work for social justice for all. They serve their communities in many ways including their networks of people, their buildings and the activities they provide, for example children's groups and emergency food support. This makes them ideal groups to be leading action on climate justice and demonstrating how we can work together to make positive changes.
The Cool Places of Worship project is free to engage with and open to all places of worship / faith communities on the Wirral. It's a supportive, inspiring and sharing network of faith communities actively working on the Cool 2 Strategy by reducing carbon footprints through energy use, changes to buildings, active travel and making wiser decisions on areas such as diet, waste and lifestyle.
